We’re moving to a new computer system

Information:

We plan to move to a new clinical system called Medicus on Monday 23 November 2026. We’ll confirm the date on our Facebook and Instagram pages. Your records will be moved securely to the new system. Some online services will be paused for a short time around the switch.

What you can do now

  • Check your contact details, especially your email address. In future, most of our messages will come through the NHS App or by email rather than by text. Update your details here.
  • Follow us for regular updates before, during and after the change:
  • Share our posts with family, friends, and local community groups and forums, so everyone hears the news.
  • Order your repeat prescriptions early, by 4pm on Friday 20 November.
  • Download the NHS App if you don’t have it. For help setting it up, visit NHS App help. NHS England runs the app, so we can’t help with it.

Will there be any disruption?

Why are we changing?

More and more people need their GP practice. We need a computer system that is reliable, secure and quick to use. Medicus is a modern, cloud-based system approved for use in the NHS. It’s designed to cut delays, improve safety and give our doctors and nurses more time with patients. We’re one of the first practices in Buckinghamshire to make this change.

A safe and careful change

NHS England and Thames Valley ICB are overseeing and supporting this change. It has been carefully planned to keep patients safe and to keep disruption as small as possible.

All records will be moved securely to Medicus, and your privacy is fully protected. Medicus meets NHS standards for security and information governance, including ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, the NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit, and UK GDPR. You can find out more at medicus.health.
