Adult Vaccinations

We offer the NHS vaccinations for adults listed below. You will be invited when you are due. Eligibility is set nationally, so please follow the links to check it on the NHS website.

Flu vaccine, offered each autumn and winter

Asthma & COPD

Our Asthma & COPD Clinics are run by our trained nurses. Patients should attend for a review at least once annually.

Antenatal Care

Antenatal care is shared with the community midwife. The midwife clinic is held at The Hall Practice. Please inform your doctor’s secretary about your pregnancy.

Blood Pressure Checks

These can now be done by patients themselves on our self-check BP monitor located in the reception area. The instructions are quite clear but our receptionists are pleased to help if necessary. Alternatively, appointments are available to book online for a blood pressure check with our nursing team.

Cervical Screening

Cervical screening is offered to all women and people with a cervix aged 25 to 64. It checks for human papillomavirus (HPV), which can cause changes to the cells of the cervix.

Since July 2025, everyone aged 25 to 64 is invited every 5 years if their last test did not find HPV. You may be invited sooner if HPV was found at your last test or you have a history of cell changes.

You will receive an invitation, through the NHS App, by text or by letter, when it is time to book an appointment with one of our practice nurses.

Child Health & Immunisations

All new babies are invited for a check-up at six weeks with their doctor. Patients are sent a letter when they are due for immunisations.

Clinics are held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings with Nurse Hannah.
Clinics are held on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, both in the morning and afternoon with Nurse Caroline.

Diabetic Clinic

Diabetic care is run by our GPs and clinical pharmacist who specialises in diabetes. Patients should attend for a review at least once annually.

Joint Injections

We offer steroid joint injections for most joints. Please book an appointment to discuss arranging this with your doctor.

NHS Health Checks

The NHS Health Check is a free check-up for adults aged 40 to 74 who do not have a pre-existing cardiovascular condition. It is designed to assess your risk of developing heart disease, stroke, diabetes, kidney disease and dementia.

The check looks at your blood pressure, cholesterol, BMI and lifestyle factors, and gives you personalised advice on how to reduce your risk and stay healthy.

For patients aged 65 to 74, the NHS Health Check also includes information about dementia awareness and ways to help reduce your risk.

If you are eligible, we will invite you for an NHS Health Check. If you think you may be eligible and have not yet received an invitation, please contact the practice.

Travel Vaccinations

Our practice nurses offer foreign travel advice and immunisations. Appointments should be booked at least eight weeks before departure and can be booked online. Some vaccines are payable at the time of booking the appointment / before the appointment via BACS transfer. We do not accept cash or credit card.
