NHS Health Checks
The NHS Health Check is a free check-up for adults aged 40 to 74 who do not have a pre-existing cardiovascular condition. It is designed to assess your risk of developing heart disease, stroke, diabetes, kidney disease and dementia.
The check looks at your blood pressure, cholesterol, BMI and lifestyle factors, and gives you personalised advice on how to reduce your risk and stay healthy.
For patients aged 65 to 74, the NHS Health Check also includes information about dementia awareness and ways to help reduce your risk.
If you are eligible, we will invite you for an NHS Health Check. If you think you may be eligible and have not yet received an invitation, please contact the practice.
