Contact the Surgery

The strongly preferred way for patients to contact the practice is via Patient Access. This can be downloaded as an app for iPhone and Android and visited on a desktop by going to: patientaccess.com. Once you are securely registered, Patient Access allows you to:

  • Direct message your GP, his/her secretary, our nursing team and our Covid-19 support
  • Book appointments with a doctor, nurse, physician's associate, physio and midwife
  • Order repeat medications
  • View test results
  • View your full medical record

Please note that Patient Access (unlike email) integrates seemlessly into your medical record and is administratively much faster for us to process.

For all queries that cannot be directed via the above options an email can be sent to: contact.theallanpractice@nhs.net. Please do not use this as the default method of contacting the practice as emails do not integrate easily into your medical record which causes delays to actioning your request. Emails take up to three working days for a response. Urgent enquiries should be directed by telephone to the relevant doctor's secretary.
